The trouble is, no one bothered to tell the mangrove killifish. Their gills are altered to retain water and nutrients, while they excrete nitrogen waste through their skin. This enables them to live in trees! Just imagine if your walking along a river bed or the sea side and you witnessed the journey from the water into the tree. I just wonder when in terms of evolution did it decide "hang on a minute trees are better".
