A co worker referred to someone as being “daft as a brush" implying they are really silly. It got me thinking what the orgins of this phrase are. Was one brush so daft looking or was it about a certain Victorian chimney sweeper who had an unfortunate incident on his first day? Or could brush mean tail then it would be a reference to foxes maybe made by rich toffs riding on horseback with foxhounds leading the chase.

Decided to go mental and recreate my earlier drawing from my sketchbook titled "Faces" onto some plywood (62 by 38cm). Used posca pens for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed them. Will be buying some more posca pens and going more vibrant in colour. Jon Burgerman inspired me with his crazy and quirky doodles of randomness. Here is a sneaky preview of my website, so not long now for the grand opening ceremony. It's going to be absolute madness.

Association of Illustrators (AOI) is having an exhibition in partnership with London Transport Museum (LTM). This exhibition will be based on the theme of ‘A View of London’ – illustrations celebrating the vibrancy of present day London. I have entered my own image promoting cycling in the city trying to encourage more to participate. Check the link out for more details about entering.
